Asking for connections after rejection - bad look?
Had a LO interview at a top AM firm, and was told to wait 1-2 weeks as they finish up interviews. Then the PM called me up to say he was impressed with my pitch and the way I spoke about stocks, and thought I did very well, but they are moving on to another candidate who has more directly applicable experience, and that it was just a very competitive process with over 500 resumes or w/e.
Do you think it would be bad move to follow up and ask to be put in contact with any other opportunities he might know of? I heard a story where someone didn't get job 1, but job 1 put them in contact with job 2, which did work out. Meh, as I type it out it sounds like a bad look
