Associate Partner with Mckinsey

I have always been facinated by McKinsey and company and I am looking forward to working with them some time in future. I have an MBA and work experince of 13 years. I currently work as a Senior manager at at Big 4.

Does anyone knows if McKinsey hires at "Associate Partner" level, I am not interested in a Associate or an Engagement manager role with them, as I think I am a little over qualified for that.

There is no direct entrance into the AP role. Depending on the office to which you apply, you would be an "Experienced Hire", which means having to do a couple of projects as an associate, then EM and then AP. If you make it through after about 1 - 2 years you would be made principal
