Attorney Career Switch
I'm a 31 year old tax attorney currently at an in-house position and want to switch careers to PWM. I've had plenty of experience meeting with clients and think I could succeed in PWM. I think I've made some great relationships up until now in my career and think I could leverage them for accounts. I'm in a medium metropolitan area and have access to all the major wire houses.
1. Which in particular should I focus my career search on and what should I know moving forward?
2. Can anyone speak to how feasible of a career change this would be?
3. With a legal & tax background, does it make sense to pursue the CFP? I would eventually like to take the CFA - I want to be knowledgeable about the services I'm selling and think it would help in client meetings (and it interests me).
All help is appreciated!
