Back off at BB or Valuation Analyst?

Long time lurker here. Really quick question. Currently have an offer for a back office position at a BB, also have an offer for a valuation analyst (appraisal asset valuation) role at a mid-tier company in the same city. BB BO pays a bit higher, but the work I'd be doing at the mid-tier valuation company would be more applicable towards what I want to do long-term. Any opinions? Also any insight on exit ops would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!

It's more of a career question, really. From what I've seen, it's nigh improbable to directly lateral from BO to FO, and exit ops are severely limited due to the non-transferable skillsets. If you were to take the BB BO offer and you decided that you absolutely hated it and wanted to do something in FO, you'd most likely have to rebrand yourself by undertaking an MBA at an M7 to have a better shot.

Valuation shop gives you a more applicable skillset which is more transferable to IB/transaction-based professions, and hence gives you a better shot in terms of direct exit ops without the necessity of an MBA. That said, you might lose out on the brand value if you decided that you'd like an MBA.

I'd like to hear others' opinions but that's personally up to you as to what you see yourself as.
