Background check question
So I am currently applying for summer IB internships for 2024. I have many first round interviews for diversity programs at banks soon. I go to a big football school and one day this fall I was hammered and climbed onto the rooftop of an apartment building to look at the sunset. There were cops in the era just chilling and they arrested me for trespassing misdemeanor. First time getting arrested, judge thought it was a funny story and I got probation for 9 months then the charge and arrest is dropped clean record.I'm freaking out though that when applying for SA internships that this might show?? I haven't been convicted of a crime but worried somehow this will be findable when I apply for internships. This won't be a problem for FT if I get the internship as it will be clean by then. Do SA really do intense background checks, or is your resume, transcript, and I guess vouch from people you network with their only form of background checks for SA.
Nope don’t worry. They don’t run background check until like a week before you start job. Now if it’s still in your record by the time you start, that’s no bueno, but sounds like you will get it expunged removed clean slate after 9 months of probation, this will not show up on any check.
