BB IB intern -> FT consulting?

Hi All,

Currently an IB summer analyst (may 2023 graduation date) at a large BB. Long story short, I'm not a big fan of the tasks, the brutal hours, nor my firm/group to be honest. I don't want to do this for longer than the summer, and the holistic/strategy space + marginally better wlb in consulting seems to be a better fit for me for a full time role after graduation. I know I'm privileged to even have the opportunity to come to this realization.

Has anyone gone through the process of BB IB Intern to FT consulting, ideally MBB? How should I go about it? Theres MBB application deadlines over the summer now, which puts the time crunch at a more intense pace. How did you have time to practice casing during the week? When scheduling interviews, how did you go about it, as I'm literally in the office basically 8am-11pm? Any tips?

Context, I'm at a top target school (HYPS) with rlly good gpa. I know I just have to put in the time, but I seem to have less and less of that for outside recruiting nowadays.

Thanks for reading, I appreciate you.
