BB Risk Management vs HF Trading?

Hi everyone,

I'm from Europe (Spain, Portugal) and have been working 2y in consulting (MBB) after getting a MSc in Quantitative Finance from good national university. I want to move in a more Finance-related role and I got two offers: - BB (GS, JPM, MS) Credit Risk - Hedge Fund (10bln AUM) Trading desk

From one hand I am concerned that Credit Risk sounds like a bit operations, from the other hand I am concerned that the fund is no-name and don't know about exit ops. Frankly speaking, being a trader is a kind of dream to me, but also working at the BB is. The two offers are close enough to be comparable, slightly in favor of the BB.

One day I want to work for an hedge fund and be a Portfolio Manager, but I don't know whether the moment to join is now or after a couple of years at the BB.

What's your thoughts?

Why do you suggest the HF? It seems a good HF but I don't know if the experience would be helpful to find a FO job in London. On the other hand the BB has a good brand but the job is MO and again I'm not sure about the exit ops.
