Best area of finance to enter if you dont care about comp?
I wanted to know what the best area of finance is to enter if you dont care about comp / prestige. As long as I can live in NYC and make enough to cover rent, food and basic life expenses. If I dont want to make insane money is there a field of finance where I can have a good WLB and learn if it comes at the expense of comp?
Probably some type of middle office or risk type of role? It'll be more of a 9-6 and you won't have the extreme pressure of a FO investment role.
Do these roles hire interns in college?
Why would you still want to be in finance if you don't care about comp
