Best cities for valuation/transaction advisory

I'm going into a masters in accounting program at one of the top 10 programs. My primary goal is landing a job in valuation or transaction advisory within the Big4 firms, and if that doesn't work out, then audit.

I need to start thinking about city preferences ASAP. I'm located on the east coast, so what are the best cities for valuation and transaction advisory related roles in terms of clients, deal flow etc? New York is the obvious choice, but I also need to consider a few other cities - so what are your thoughts on Charlotte, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Boston, Atlanta?

If it helps my goal is to use my experience, get an MBA, and transition into PE/VC. For that strategy to be successful, having some experience with PE clients is a must, so please recommend the best cities to get exposure to PE clients.
