Best groups NOT for modelling
People here like to ask which groups are best for modelling, etc because of PE or on some level it’s mildly more interesting. What are the best groups that are the opposite of this? I honestly couldn’t care less for modelling or PE, I just want a job as cushy as it could be in banking. Thoughts immediately drifted to cap markets, but thought I’d ask.
Financial Sponsors Group at a firm where the team is focused on client relationships. -> GS, Citi, (JPM) etc.
Citi runs the model for fsg
Any tips for standing out to these?
Investment Grade DCM. The job as a junior is basically alining logos and league tables on a ppt
ECM and then exit to IR, you'll just wine and dine people your entire career.
