Best industries and roles for 2018 and beyond?

I am a young college student trying to gauge all areas of finance to gain some more career direction. I was wondering what everyone's opinions are about specific aspects or areas of wall street are the most promising and growing for 2018+. So what do you guys think? What are the hottest jobs/ roles/ groups/ sectors right now and going forward? If this is too general, an example I guess would be people saying the everyday trader is a dying job and won't be around anymore and electronic trading will take over. Not saying that this is accurate or that I believe it - just an example that I have heard of that is basically what I am looking for. Best areas to break into, map a career in, or general aspects of finance, etc. I think this is a great topic to discuss and could help many young finance students like me. All opinions are encouraged.

Pharma/Biotech is a pretty interesting sector with lots of activity. Tech also falls into this category and the intersection between tech and healthcare could show some interesting deals in the future (Roche really kicked this off with their $1.9Bn acquisition of Flatiron Health). Energies will also be interesting; I don't much about specific sectors but the whole O&G vs renewables will lead to interesting business in the next 5-10 years. Aerospace and Defence always has interesting players including commercial aviation. These are the main ones I can think of now, will update if more come to mind.
