That's about what you should expect. what i found, and this is just me personally so please don't quote me on this, is that you are far more likely to get a response if you cold email one of the MD's (email format off of the website if they have it) asking for a few minutes and attaching your resume, and then getting on the phone and making your ask. I got around a 35% hit rate, which led to 2 offers within a 10 day period. Cold emailing/Cold calling works, but you have to stay persistent. Just be a shark, and don't stop till you get it.
