Bouncing Back After Not Getting Job Offer

After a nearly 2 month long process, and 4 interviews, I was told I would not be getting an offer from my dream job. This was a boutique REPE opportunity in Palo Alto, with brilliant people and fascinating work. I literally gave it my fucking all. My apartment lease ends of this month, and I had to resign by end of beginning of last month, so I gambled. All the chips on the table; get this job or things will get interesting. I practiced my modelling over and over, rehearsed my answers, prepared like a MF. Now I'll be moving staying in my city, moving apartments next week.

The interview w/ their office went about as well as possible. Final step was to meet the HQ on the east coast. The negative feedback I received back from my recruiter were all questions from one SVP (the CEO & MD, who I was scheduled to meet with, were out, so I can't help but feel a bit pissed b/c EOD they probably asked his opinion of me, which obviously wasn't great). Some of the feedback was that my answers to questions like, "what has been your biggest disappointment", "what are your values", etc. were not, "deep enough". (I can tell you I got a good one for the disappointment question now). And full transparency I didn't do as well as possible on the modelling test, so I know there is room to improve there, but I know that wasn't the end-all, be-all in their final decision.

Just want to hear some thoughts/advice/stories from others bouncing back after giving it their all and coming up short. I've got books ordered to read (both technical and other), will continue to practice my modelling, and will keep trying to learn at my current job. I know they'll be other opportunities, and I won't be discouraged. Anything helps, thank you!
