BP Canada Trading Interview

So I have a 1st round interview with BP Canada for an entry level trading postion coming up soon. I know to expect why BP? Why Energy? Tell me about a time...xyz. Is there anything else I should expect? Does anybody know how they assess your quantitative ability during the interview? Thanks for your help.

@Macellus_wallace - its for their graduate development program in the North American Gas and Power Division. I think you do a series of rotations before they place you on a desk. Thanks for your advice, have been preparing for HR type questions

@Jerome Marrow- What is the trading simulation like? Is there anything I can do to prepare for it?

There is nothing you can do (I did it 2 or 3 times, I forget and the first time had the high score and second time the low score. I think I sat out the third time I saw it at a career fair thing). and the simulation has 0 relation to anything involving trading IMO. The way it is designed is a bit irrational and incoherent.

when did they let you know about an interview? i applied for a trading internship last week and the interview is supposed to take place next week, but i haven't heard anything back yet. do you know how long it takes them to get back to you after you apply?

idk if they make you do the trading simulation when you're being interviewed or whatever, but bp came to my campus last year and did the trading simulation and i won it out of like 20 people. i'd just recommend to make aggressive bets when they are +EV.

and i've been interviewed by bp before for something else. in addition to the stuff already mentioned, know stuff like "what was a tough situation you faced in your life and how did you handle it," "what accomplishments are you most proud of" "what in your life could you have done better" and if you're being interviewed by traders, try to talk about any accomplishments finance-related

never mind about the interview. i got an interview with nagp in houston. i just saw on my school's job posting website that i was offered an interview. but i didn't any emails to tell me. weird. anyways gl with the interview and let us know what type of questions you mainly got and what they were.
