Breaking into finance/ business as a manufacturing engineer
Hi I graduated from a top 10 school for my field in engineering. Top50ish over all. I specialized in manufacturing but I want to transfer into finance, Data science, or strategy consulting.
My job is interesting but the hours suck, coworkers are meh, and the salary isn’t great. I don’t think I could do this industry long term and don’t think this knowledge transfers over to other non manufacturing industries. (Recent grad with 1.5 years of exp)
Would I need to do an mba or masters in finance to make the pivot? Can you guys offer any tips on what skill sets could be could be transferable?
