Breaking into finance/banking from government work and polisci background
Hello all,
Up until now, I've been an international relations major interning in national intelligence agencies where I've done mostly economic/political analysis. Having lost interest in this field, I'm planning to switch majors to finance/economics and pursue a career in the financial sector. I'd like to get my feet wet this summer by obtaining a finance internship. Where is a good place to start for someone with no previous financial experience? By the end of this semester, I'll have 15 credit hours of economics, 6 hours of calc and stats, and one accounting course under my belt. I'm a rising junior with a 3.5+ GPA at a non-target (but generally highly-regarded school).
