Breaking into IB with UVA Comm MS

Pretty much just the title. Studied philosophy at UVA undergrad and did well. Not much relevant internship experience apart from a summer consulting stint. What should I do from now until graduation from the MS program to give myself the best shot. Obviously good grades. I was thinking about studying for a CFA, not sure how useful that would be.
