Breaking into Private Equity after graduation

Currently ending my sophomore year as an accounting and finance double major. I have a few internships under belt in the finance and commercial real estate industry. Currently have my Bloomberg Certification and working on my financial modeling and valuation certification. I have been trying to break into the PE industry by mass emailing and calling offices. I was seeking the insight on other ways to make myself a good candidate for PE. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
