Bring Stock Pitch to Interview
Hey guys,
I am currently in the middle of banking interviews right now.
A couple of months back I created a couple of stock pitches - one of them for my investment club (which I did most of the work on) and one of them I created individually for stock pitch competitions.
Both of them are solid pitches - they have company overview, investment theses, full model & valuation etc. the investment club one was one of the better ones within the club and the individual one got me a 3rd and 2nd prize. I know both companies at the back of my hand.
I was wondering if I should print out 4-5 copies of each and bring them to the superday.
I sent in for all my applications a written report on a stock and I sent in the full excel model I built for it. Weirdly, landed a ton of interviews doing this. However, I was absolutely grilled on it in every interview. I was able to back up the research I did so I didn't fall flat on my face. I was actually told in an interview it was the only reason they interviewed me. However, I would make it well aware to them you know there is a huge difference between a college kid doing valuations vs a professional level Investment Banker if you chose to do it. The worst thing you can do is act like a complete know it all. Would also love to see people who have been in the industry answer this because Im starting work out of school officially at the end of summer so I don't know from the other side yet.
Thanks a lot man!
I know someone whos also doing this, do you just attach those alongside with your resume?
