Burn out check.... Holy shit does anyone want to just blow their brains out 24/7

2 years IB, 1.5 years into PE.... I am so burnt out. I hate this job. I hate everyone in finance. I hate working long hours. I hate being stressed. I hate being confused. I hate this so much. Every single pain point in my life or feeling of unhappiness literally comes from my job and thats it.

I felt similar after 2 years in IB - I thought to myself, literally the only problem in life is my job. Because the job was completely ruining my physical and mental health and I was losing my relationships with friends and family to it.

I quit to something with much better WLB and feel much better now. Pay is less than IB but more than worth it to have my life/sanity back.

If you’re spending all your waking hours doing something you hate, that’s a bad idea.
