Can I break in?

Hey monkeys, I have a bit of a confession to make. I'm a recent grad for a strong target in the UK, studied econ, got my 2,1. However, I have no experience, and I am well aware this sets me back seriously. Since graduation I've been seriously pursuing networking, but I need some genuine insight, do I realistically stand a chance?

I was seriously set back by a series of family-related personal issues I had during my time at uni (to be clear, this is not an excuse). I know how weak this makes me as a candidate and I know I need to put in every bit of coldcalling, coldemailing, blood sweat and tears to break through. I'm willing to do this, if it is the price of getting the career I want. I've been looking for jobs within broader finance, business analyst roles in smaller firms, investment analyst roles in smaller firms, etcetera. Is Investment Banking achievable for me?

I really appreciate this forum. It's been a great environment to read up on, and I've purchased and made use of some of the WSO guides, which are brilliant tbh. Even if I can't break into IB immediately, I still want to learn financial modelling and it is a goal I will be pursuing with as much vigour as I can. I know you guys will tell it to me straight and I know that, at the end of the day, no amount of rational thinking will stop me from picking up the phone/email/linkedin tomorrow and contacting alumni after alumni after alumni. Still, any advice on my current situation would be appreciated.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post.
