Can I break into IB

Hey Guys,

I attend a non target school and have roughly a 3.7 gpa. I was originally aspiring to be a nurse but had a change of heart and I really want to pursue a career in business, particularly, IB instead. I am currently a rising Senoir and have roughly 2 internships at very small Private Equity companies and am wondering If I have a shot at breaking into IB. Im very new to the field and wondering if I should shoot for maybe an easier position instead given my current situation. I feel I am at a disadvantage because I am not a finance major but wondering if their is still a shot because I have internship experience. Wondering how I should go about this process. Any advice would help!!!

I was in the same boat. Realistically had 10 people at respectable IB shops in NYC from my school but made it work. Get on LinkedIn and reach out to everyone you can alumni or not. Also I’ve found if there are only a few alumni on the street they may be willing to go the extra mile to see their school be further represented at their firm by helping you.
