Can I break into IB at Syracuse?

I’m going to be a freshman at Syracuse in the fall, and I am trying to come up with a plan of action that will put me in the best position to break into IB. What should I do while studying there that will put me In the best situation? I am majoring in finance and looking at other majors and minors that would give me an edge. Let me know what you think!

Idt you need to pick up another major or minor unless it something that genuinely interests you. Just focus on getting good GPA and finance internships, as well as networking and just enjoying your first year of college in general

Remember hearing about Syracuse having a pretty decent trek program to NYC. Similar to UFlorida, I believe. I'd imagine alumni use the trek to build a pipeline (as this is much easier since the accepted students have already been filtered by the university sponsoring the trek). Look into this and begin reaching out to rising juniors asking to schedule a quick 15min chat on how they broke into WallSt and how to best prep for any clubs/treks/orgs interviews.
