Focus on targeting the banks that sponsor and be ahead of the game timeline-wise

You might have a good chance with the banks with LATAM groups.
Im from the region (not MX) and would recommend recruiting for local positions with international banks, and then trying to transfer to NY based groups that cover Latam. I think most BBs have local teams in CDMX.
LATAM is one of the regions with strong growth, so you already have the cultural and linguistic exposure to a key region.
The banks I work with are pretty much all expanding in your region and you could, after joining, lateral/move to the US afterwards. I am not an immigration attourney, so can't help with that aspect (but the companies will).
