Career Advice for Newbie
Hey guys, new to the forum looking for career advice
My background: I graduated from a top 50 school with a Anthropology major and marketing minor. I did two internships in college with Metlife and Northwestern Mutual. I did reasonably well on the sales side of insurance, and thus pursued a full time career with Penn Mutual. I have been working for a few months and obtained my series 6 and 63 license, but I feel the job is too slow for me (not to mention very little base salary.) I was originally drawn into the industry by an uncle of mine with the promise of "Unlimited income, make your own hours in finance" but the job has fallen out of favor with me.
I'm looking for a career change somewhere into the finance field but I have no clue where to start. Can anyone let me know of different career paths, companies, how it compares with insurance/retirement planning sales and what I can do to break into the industry?
Thanks
George Dutch
