Career is Finished in Developed Countries. Where to Now?

My finance career seems pretty dead in developed countries. I'm 32yo and my experience is only in commercial credit in the $2MM range (that' s $2 million) in relationship management and risk management. I have a CFA and FRM designation and have spent the last 4 years trying to get into Equity Research or Corporate Banking (wholesale even) because IB said I was too old but I've been given the run around everywhere I try. I've upped every part of my personality and interview I can. It really just comes down to me knowing no one in the industry and no one willing to take a chance on me. I'm getting tired of applying every week, linkedin messages, coffee meets, interviews non-stop every week/month, without anything to show for it. I feel like I need a new angle or I'm going to go insane.

Is there a way I could maybe get better luck in developing countries? I only speak English though. Anyone have any suggestions for what cities, companies and positions I should be trying for to build a decent career in this profession? Pay is important so long as I can live a good lifestyle in the cities but I don't need anything excessive. I'm more concerned with long-term career movement potential and having a position where I feel intellectually challenged. What I'm doing now is a dead-end. I'm already the best I'll get in my current role, no upward mobility and nothing new to learn.

Any advice or help would be appreciated, thanks.
