Career Path Advice – Structured/Straightforward Jobs

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some honest advice about what career paths might be a good fit for me.

A little about me:
• I have a finance degree but I’m open to going back to school (Master’s or other programs) if needed.
• I’m mainly motivated by high pay, prestige, and stability.
• I’m not super interested in highly ambiguous or decision-heavy work. I do best in roles with structure, clear rules, and repeatable processes (something like accounting, where the framework is well defined).
• I’m on the autism spectrum and sometimes struggle with executive functioning/decision-making in open-ended situations, but I excel when the expectations and workflow are straightforward.

I’d love to hear suggestions on:
1. Straightforward but high-paying careers I could pursue with my background.
2. Whether accounting/CPA is the best route or if there are other options in finance, consulting, real estate, corporate roles, etc. that are more structured.
3. Any advanced degrees or certifications that might set me up for a good long-term career path.

I’m basically looking for jobs that are prestigious, well-compensated, and structured, without requiring constant complex decision-making under uncertainty.

Thanks in advance for any advice or direction!
