Career prospect

Hello all,
I would really appreciate if you guys help me in figuring out the right decision for me.
I am interested in doing MA economics or M Fin from a university. But my current job (in which I am into 9 months only after my grad school) is not providing the time to prepare as well as the work environment is not very supportive.
Also I am pursuing a distance course in Economics for resume building.
If I leave my job then will it be a scar on my resume when I apply to universities ? Can it be a factor of my rejection ?

Please help me out because my current situation is getting tough to move on with.
