Careers with the most potential

Hi all,

I am trying to determine which offer to consider and am having difficulty narrowing down which offer to pick. I graduated with a MS Q. Finance from a strong (top 30) school and moved back home to Northeast. No relevant work experience but strong internships. I had 2nd round interviews for equity research and trading positions but nothing transpired. Strong grades and CFA Level 1.

3 months later I have yet to land so I start looking for jobs that I initially didn't entertain. Today I got a call for 3rd offer this week but all from jobs I barely want. Now I have to determine which offer to take. My rationale is that it is easier to get a job while you have one. Ultimately, I want to be in Equity research but would also pursue Corporate Strategy/ Development.

So...Which of the three fields offer the best exit options / long term compensation in short and long term future.

-Credit analyst -business analyst -Financial analyst

Would like to hear feedback from community...Thanks.

Business analyst as in for consulting? Also, I never get what the exact definition of a Financial Analyst is, seems to be used in describing anything from ER to IBD to back office, can you specify please?

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

II would want to do the FP&A, depending on the company.

I'd either do the business analyst job or FP&A, as those are more closely related to equity research. Hard to give you much more advice without more info. Are they industry specific? Is the business analyst job doing internal work for a company or an advisory firm?
