Chance to intern w/ the FDIC in NYC

So I transferred universities & changed majors earlier this year, from engineering to now studying finance & math. I applied for hundreds of positions, and after just getting ghosted and rejected, finally heard from a few places. I landed an interview for the FDIC management scholars program in NYC, and the internship looks like it's going to be in person.

Based on glassdoor, it seems like the interview questions seem to be primarily behavioral, and I am practicing them as much as I can (writing out, outlining, recording my answers, reviewing them and having them reviewed by alumni), etc...

I go to a solid private yet non target university... should this be a path that I seriously consider? I see for the public sector FDIC jobs tend to pay among the best with excellent work to life balance, and I feel as if the work seems fairly interesting to me. Also, I'd get to spend the summer of my 21st birthday in NYC, which would just be amazing.

If I want to get my resume/career started, would this be a good way to go about it? Eventually I will strive for a top MBA program and hope to transition to the private sector in something with a career earnings potential, but this is one of my primary options ATM and I'm hoping to get your feedback. Thank you
