Choosing between Corp Development vs E&F

Hi all,

Wanted to see what kind of opinions people have between E&F and corporate development as an exit path.

Quick background: Non-target graduate, working in a T2 city for IB at a boutique bank.

As for the offers, the corp dev is for a PE-backed company with most of the activity going to be focused on internal strategy rather than on big acquisitions. The E&F is well regarded and funded, with access to a ton of the top funds in the world. The job would be focused mostly on portfolio monitoring and manager selection.

The corp dev would pay a bit more overall, and both jobs are in relatively low cost of living areas that I have ties with so not really worried about that. In terms of culture, I would say the E&F seems to fit me a bit more (they have a large emphasis on employee engagement). What i am really worried about is exit opps if I end up not enjoying the role.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.
