Chosen or Dinged?

Hey all, I know everyone asks these questions, and I have searched but yet to find a situation that is similar (also I know this doesn't serve me any good but just wanted to hear your opinions in the meantime).

I had a superday at a big AM firm recently (think PIMCO, BlackRock, fidelity) and it went really well, and I was told that I would hear back in at least a week. This was on a tuesday, the following monday HR called me without me asking yet and said "sorry for the wait, but our group head (i didnt meet with him) has been traveling and we need to review our decisions and opinions with him before any offers are made to the candidates, so you will hear back this week." Well today is friday and I imagine no one will be working today, so should I jump on another offer or wait for this one? This one is also my first choice.

Thanks so much, and yes I know speculating means nothing ,but dam I hate waiting.

What?

"They are all former investment bankers that were laid off in the economic collapse that Nancy Pelosi caused. They have no marketable skills, but by God they work hard."

I don't know where, but apparently people are getting Good Friday off. I was unaware banking allowed religious interference

"We're not lawyers, we're investment bankers. We call you for the paperwork. We didn't go to Harvard, we went to Wharton, and we saw you coming a mile away."

It seems like everyone has the day off, except for colleges.

Stupid fucking liberals and their education. I knew I should have gone to Notre Dame.

Is the other offer exploding before Monday? If not just call them on Monday.
