City placement analyst programme (BO compliance focus). Advice needed

The programme is rotational but based on the phone interview (and given my legal background- LLB and LLM banking &finance - both from targets in my country) I'm led to believe my assgnments would have a strong compliance focus. Which I'm not particularly disinclined towards - I have a few questions. a) I know this may be location based but traditionally what are retention rates like from these analyst programmes (I'm more than competent, hard working and particularly likeable)? b) what further qualifications/certificates will make me more competitive within the compliance space? c) What would be the odds of me lateraling to a more FO position eventually be (post-CFA)? d) how easy are international transfers within the bank?
