Cold Email Automation?

Hey all, I've been looking into ways to automate the cold-emailing/networking process and was wondering if anyone has found an effective way to do so. If this works out, I would plan to send customized initial emails and then have the software follow up automatically each week with templates if no response is received. I know that various free CRM platforms and gmail plugins exist - are there any specifically that you have found success with?

Not full automation but something that saved me time was having a list of ~50 emails in excel (about 1 hour). Then just copy and paste the general cold email. For sector specific banks I had a small line at the start e.g. explaining why tech M&A. Then just copy and paste the rest.

If you just sit down and commit some time to it you can send 50 in an hour or so. Not automation but it’s the best method I found.

Just be careful you don’t spend more time trying to figure out how to automate it all, than the time it would actually take to send the emails manually.
