Cold emailing analysts, Should I use their first name or Mr./Ms.?
Was sending out some cold emails and was wondering if I should refer to analyst as "Hello First name" or "Hello Mr./Ms. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Dude
Are you emailing your elementary school teacher or someone likely in their early 20s?
Early 20's.
woosh
His comment was sarcastic. He didnt actually think you were emailing your elementary school teacher.
Default formal. They'll respond with the appropriate level of formality/familiarity and you match it going forward.
Alright, thank you.
I'd use Sir/Madame
Use first name. My bank (when I was an analyst) used to joke about people who would use Mr. vs. Mrs when e-mailing an analyst.
100% first name. If anybody every emailed me Sir or Mr. I would laugh at them.
First name.
Hundred percent first name. Mr./Mrs. for MD and above, occasionally for VP's.
First name. I'm a Senior Associate by now but I hate getting Mr/Ms-addressed emails. Awkward, overly formal, unnecessary, makes me feel old. Nobody calls me by a title in real life so why would you do it over email?
Definitely first name
