Contacts at Top BBs, previous M&A boutique internship, but 3.3 GPA... insurmountable?
Hey monkeys,
Title says it all. If I networked hard but my GPA is subpar at a semi/non-target, can I still talk/interview my way into a SA at GS, Deutsche, Barclays etc.? Spent last summer at a tiny M&A boutique in NYC.
Thanks!
Yes.
Thanks for your answer.
@"BringOnTheHours" Just wondering, which MM bank did you work at last summer?

Yes, I had a buddy who had a similar GPA and got into a lower tier BB from a non-target.
Thanks guys. @cassuncao I wasn't at a MM even. Tiny, tiny boutique. Like 7 full timers. But I did get real deal experience

Yes you'll be fine. Network is more important than gpa
depends on the bank/group. My group tracked GPA's and the last 3.3 or lower we hired was in 2007
Yeah, I don't know too many groups that are lenient in terms of grades. Does anyone know of banks that are more grade friendly?
