Contradictory and Bad End of Year HR Review
A bit blind sided right now. My mid summer was stellar and all my teams said I did well. However, when the workday final review came out it mentioned very contradictory achievements and areas of focus. In the areas of focus, it mentioned how I was lacking in my work product quality, while the achievement section said I did well. It also said how I was great at communication, but then area of focus mentioned how I needed to work on it.
My mid summer was a far cry from this, and I just don’t rly understand why this is the case. I’ve consistently asked for feedback and did my best, and the successes section does note my capabilities. But the area of focus including lacking work product and questionable commitment makes 0 sense.
Our offers are communicated to us officially tomorrow, but this basically spells defeat. I don’t know what next steps are for me, and I feel like all the late nights and extensive work I’ve pulled were rendered pointless. I don’t understand why I was being grinded to the bone after round tables of it was already decided that I wouldn’t be coming back.
Idk what I’m looking for, advice on what to do moving forward, or just relatable anecdotes?

Not sure yet, likely try and recruit. Obviously will be an uphill battle and not feeling very motivated to network and go through the recruiting process again.
Very common to get gaslit by bank while you get fucked. Awful situation but wait and see, hopefully all turns out well
