Contributing to innovation as a finance guy
Hello everyone, I am a student doing decently well so far in terms of finance career but I really want to have an impact on things, something tangible. I am extremely interested by the race to mars and by the establishment of plant based substitutes for meat. As someone who likes finance and does not think he will do well in engineering, what's the best way to contribute to those disruptive causes. Would it be to work on the corp dev/financial side of companies like SpaceX/BeyondMeat etc? Would it be to try to join a VC fund that invests in those kinds of businesses at their early stage? But wouldn't that be more useful with a tech background? Should I say fuck it and try the leap of faith of going into engineering even though math doesn't seem to be my forte (finance math being easy)?
