Cornell Hotel vs Cornell Econ

I just externally transferred into the Cornell Hotel School this year. I'm currently a first-semester sophomore, and I want to break into investment banking. I was wondering if I should transfer into econ in CAS (perhaps that might be better). I am also thinking about possibly majoring in computer science (because technical skills are really valued now). So these are my options right now:

Hotel Major w/ Computer Science or Information Science Minor CAS Econ/CS double major (if possible, definitely have to do some planning) CAS CS Major w/ Econ minor (or vice versa)

The only thing I am worried about transferring into CAS is that I may not have the relevant coursework by the time I am applying for my junior internship.

Please give me some advice. Thanks!

I went to the Hotel School, so I may be biased, but below is what I know based on my conversations with CAS econ kids back in the days:

Econ at CAS tends to do double-major since fulfilling requirements for B.S. in Econ can be done within two years. My friends usually did Econ and Government - econ in the first two years and the double major in the remaining years. Frankly, when I was in school, CS was just about to become sexy, so not many talked about doing CS as double-major.

But all shit comes to down to one question - JOB

Hotel School provides a solid path if you want to go into real estate finance. My friends work at GS, BX, CS, etc. in equity/debt and other areas. SHA has its own OCR program, just for hotel school kids with great companies but only for areas related to real estate and also managerial operations jobs for hotel/resort/F&B etc.

But if your interest is in ST, IB, HF, etc., then you will be better off doing CAS because CAS econ degree is perceived more general (just like OR at engineering school).
