CRE Job Search NYC

I graduate from College of Charleston May 2025 and am starting the job search process as far as networking & getting advice. CofC isn't the most prestigious school, in fact, it is not prestigious, however I have a 3.9/4 GPA in Commercial Real Estate Finance, am active in my community, had an internship at Marcus & Millichap last summer and currently have one with CBRE part time during the school year. I am working on my real estate license as I don't particularly think I'll need it, I just think it will be useful to have. My goal is to move to NYC post grad for a few years and work as an analyst ideally on a multifamily team. I don't want to be an agent or work as a broker who starts their career cold calling 400+ clients as I feel it is more valuable truly learn the inner workings of deals versus being a good salesman. Any advice on how to break through into the NYC CRE market & any advice whatsoever about the environment itself would be greatly appreciated.
