Hi Monkeys,
i am interviewing with CS HK and they recruit interns in two teams, Corporate Finance (CF) and Global Markets Solutions Group (GMSG), and I was wondering what they actually do, especially for the CF one. Since obviously GMSG is more like ECM & DCM, would CF have some M&A exposure?

Their IBD division is called IBCM - Investment Banking Capital Markets. That encompasses ECM, DCM, LevFin, M&A, industry groups etc. And afaik, in HK, most juniors are all generalist.

Yup because as an intern you'll be a generalist. You don't get to choose the sub-groups.
Coz I had to choose if I would like to be interviewed by both groups, I was a bit confused... not sure if I chose only one group what would happen lol
Btw do you think they would ask questions like what group I prefer?

I wonder if bankers with London experience could give inside scoop on Credit Suisse's EMEA practice? Which groups are killing it? Which groups have good culture? In the US financial sponsors, M&A and energy are quite strong, but I was told it may not necessarily be the case in London.
