Culture in Asia?
I was recently extended an offer for an internship with a small S&T outfit in Japan. I dont speak japanese and I'm as anglo as they come aesthetically, but I was assured this was all O.K. I have not yet accepted as I am waiting on other offers, one of them being in asia aswell. Have any of you worked there in a banking environment? do you think the language barrier will render me absolutely miserable? I would be excited for international exposure but would this help me in FT season? im curious to see what anyone who has worked overseas thinks..
Would you mind saying the name of the firm? I've always wanted to spend time in Japan and am currently looking for finance related internships and this seems like it would be a great opportunity considering my Japanese is minimal at best.
