Currently in corporate finance, looking for the best way to grow career
I have ~7 years experience in the field, will be starting at part time MBA this fall (either Marshall or Anderson).
My plan A is to stay in fp&a and try to climb aggressively. I'm not against that option, I like what I do for the most part and there's decent wlb, my only real concern is where my salary will top out.
A small part of me wants to shoot my shot at strategy, but I don't know if that's a realistic option for me and if the career track will be significantly better in the long run.
I want to make sure I'm not overlooking any other options that could make sense for me. Are there any other fields/roles that might realistically be open to me that I should be looking at?
If it makes a difference, I also have a law degree (JD).
Appreciate all input.
