Different career paths out of Agent/Registered Representative
Hello, WSO family, first time posting but have been lurking the forums for a while. Let me get into it, I am currently a Registered Rep with a top insurance company. I have been with this company for the past three years and I need help figuring out which path I should take to get into analyst roles. I know this is broad of me to say but this is why I need more advice from you guys. I currently have my licensing for life and health, series 6 & 63 completed. I have built my book of business for the past three years but I am looking for more structure in my life. This job has given me a lot of free time when I dont have clients to go see or cold calling. I graduated with a BBA in Finance from Baruch College with a 3.3 GPA and what led me into the financial services industry was the lack of internship experience needed to get an entry level job right out of college. I waited full year to find jobs but I was approached by a recruiter and here I am after three years, figuring life out again. My question is, should I enroll back into school and get my MS in finance? Go for my CFA? Entry level analyst roles at any company now a days require experience in the industry, Any advice helps, so thank you for whoever can give me any insight.
