Dinged because of incompetent interviewer
Not just my opinion but talked to a handful of experienced industry insiders and we concluded that the senior associate at a PE firm had a hard time explaining himself during an extended interview question and this led to me being rejected from the recruiting process. The rest of the process has been smooth and easy… And that if I was being interviewed by someone with more experience such as a partner, the outcome would have been different. I plan to make this crystal clear in my feedback discussion, but what, if any, recourse do I have if it’s clear to an entire group of people that the interviewer was just simply incompetent?
