Do I need to keep taking accounting?

For context, I'm a junior econ major at a LAC doing SA at a MM next summer, and I've taken the intro financial accounting class.

Should I take the next class (intermediate accounting) or will I be fine for SA? It's known to be a hard class and I don't really wanna take it if I don't have to

I had to take intermediate accounting for my business major and specifically remember that black book and how much that class really sucked. I think I got an A, but absolutely hated the class and hate accounting. I like financial analysis, not remembering all the bean counting accounting rules.

How much do you think it would help for a summer in IB? Will it make my life much easier or is it not worth it?

If you’re good with the intro to accounting course and understand how things work, you should be fine.
