Does a fall / spring business dev internship mean anything for IB?

Have an offer to work at an Atlanta MM IB part-time during my spring semester in the business development sector. I’m confident I’ll get a summer offer from them, but will a spring internship help with a Wall St offer for the summer? The MM Bank does a lot of growth equity and I’ll have PE exposure as an analyst
