Does everyone get the chance to got to 2nd stage ML?

Did some Merrill online test recently, I had the impression that I did quite bad(mistyped on calc several times). Then I got an email to complete 2nd stage of online application. Does everyone get this email despite their result? Or does that mean I passed the online test?

Thank you!

When you apply to most banks in the UK, they make you take a numerical and verbal test (a logic test for UBS as well). You take the test online after you are done filling up your applications. Some kids at my school would get together to do them, or would pay the smart econ masters kids to take the test for them. I would recommend against it, and instead you can find resources online to practice for them. I know UBS, GS (GS does not make you pass them online though) and the like will actually have you retake similar tests when you get to the interview center, and you won't have your buddy there to help you out... By the time you are done applying to all the BBs you will be able to finish those tests in half the time it takes. BNP Paribas has a fun ridiculously dumb test before the numerical and verbal. I applied only to two banks in the US and both didn't have me take the online tests. I applied to ML in the US, and did not have a test, as opposed to my buddies who applied to ML in the UK.

In the end if you havent networked it really doesnt matter wether you took the test online or not. The bank I accepted my offer at still has me "under review" on my online status after I took my tests; it's through networking that you will get your interviews, don't count too much on the online process. (Remember I went through the process in the UK, not in the US, so I can only speak from experience for the UK job market)

It's true I've applied to ML UK, because I'm from EU and don't have got a working permit for USA. Disjoint how did you manage to get an internship in US? Do they even consider EU graduates?

For ML you have to retake the test in their UK office too.
