Does Moody's pay that poorly.....?

Am about about to get an offer from Moody's, and just want to have an idea of what I should expect in salary negotiations.

The position is on their analytics (non-ratings) side... I'm working in consulting after graduating from a top-5 b-school in 2010.

Can't speak to post grad school, but out of college they pay decently, especially given you work a 45 hour week. I think their entry level salary is 65-70k which is not much in Manhattan, but like I said, you work 9-6. They are big on work/life balance so I wouldn't expect the pay to be all that high. I would think you could make more in consulting, and if your post B-school, I don't know what the exit ops would be like if you wanted to transfer to a different field.

Glassdoor and other other like-sites are pretty good for large companies for which all peers are paid the same more more or less (like Consultancies, Banks, etc), not so good when different groups have radically different pay structures.

In this instance, I'd be going to the the Risk Management Group- the old KMV.
