Employee Referral Programs at UBS / Cap1

I'm graduating from college in May 2012, and am looking to apply to Capital One and UBS. I have a contact at both firms somewhat high up in the food chain. Does anyone know whether either of these firms have employee referral programs? I don't want to ask my contacts for the favor if it's not possible.

Otherwise, would they have to know someone in recruiting in order to be able to help? In this tight job market, I'm trying to leverage anything I have in order to get my foot in the door. I basically want to know how I can ask my mentors/contacts to help me without crossing the line and asking too much from them. Any advice is appreciated!

I'm going for Business Analyst at Capital One (deadline in a week or two), and UBS's deadline for all FT positions is Nov 15. I've known these two people for a while, so it's not like I'm rushing into anything if I ask them for help within the next week or so
